Amazons

The Amazons are a society of women warriors who have have relegated men to the status of property. Young women all enter the ranks of the military as part of their coming of age, and strive for martial perfection throughout the rest of their lives.

An Amazon in her teens enters a unit of maidens, and wears medium armor with a shield while she learns to fight. If she develops enough skill and grace she can try to become a Warrior, losing the shield to fight as a true Amazon, dodging enemy blows while striking out with speed and precision. A few Amazons learn to feel the rythm of battle flowing through their bones, and become Bladedancers.
