New Army Lists
Armies of Arcana is a completely open ended game - anything you can find a miniature for can have stats created for it, a point cost calculated, and its ready to get into the fight! Many players have made their own army lists based on miniature lines for other games - for example, Clan War armies, Warhammer Fantasy Battle armies, Demonworld armies, etc.
The new "official" lists have been playtested and are considered to be filling important gaps in the fantasy mini-gaming universe. The "Unofficial" lists are either those that are felt to be filling an important gap but need to be more thoroughly tested, or those are very niche oriented.
DO NOT get hung up on getting your personal army list declared "official". Its no great prize. Most players will be happy to let you play most anything you come up with, and that is what's important. You don't need Thane's approval.
