Welcome to Xenocide!

Xenocide is a game built for 6mm troops and vehicles organized into platoons, squads and companies. It is a fast and deadly game full of maneuver and ambush. Though it still has a long way to go to do all the things I want, it is already capable of running most any 6mm army from any other company level miniature game you've got miniatures for.

Xenocide is a d6 based game, and you'll want a good number of them. A lot of attacks can get resolved at once, giving a nice feel of heavy firepower. Like the other Thane's Games sci-fi games, there is a suppression system that allows units to pin down and reduce the effectiveness of the enemy in ways beyond simply killing them.

Xenocide is in playtesting mode. Like all TG games in playtesting, the more feedback recieved, the more the game gets updated. There is a Yahoo group for Xenocide that you cn join to discuss the game, or you can email directly.

The first miniatures game I learned to play was Epic Space Marine from Games Workshop. I'm extremely happy to again have a way to play my many armies from that system. Since then, many other companies have begun making 6mm sci-fi armies and excellent quality - there are a lot of choices out there for minis, though you won't find them in many retail stores.

7/12/07 - The rules and a bunch of army lists have been posted! They are kind of messy still, they really need to be rewritten from scratch again. please let me know if you have questions or find problems. The forum has a section for playtesting these and the other new rules sets. I would suggest going there instead of the the Yahoo group, as the Yahoo group is prone to spam and is very unreliable these days.
